Lewis Park Maple Tree Bookmark |
These bookmarks are made from the beautiful Maple tree that fell in Lewis Park, Courtenay B.C. during a storm in March of 2012. Rescued by a wonderful Courtenay woodworker, and then shared with me.
The grain is very beautiful with a piece of the edge bark to accent the bottom.
This bookmark is six and three quarters inches long and one and one quarter inch wide, very thin.
A tree, is delicately scrolled into this bookmark.
Threads of blue and black hold the blue and black beads with the white, blue and orange center bead.

Beige and orange beads and thread adorn this bookmark. A soaring eagle is scrolled into this beautifully grained piece of Lewis Park Maple.
Measuring eight inches long by one and five eighths inches wide.
Lewis Park Maple Snake Bookmark |
It is the year of the Snake.
Just the tip of this bookmark shows the bark from the Lewis Park Maple tree.
Orange and green threads hold the orange and green beads.
This bookmark is a little shorter at five and a half inches long and one and five eighths inches wide.
Lewis Park Maple Kingfisher Bookmark |
This bookmark has a Kingfisher scrolled into the beautiful Lewis Park Maple. All edge grain down the one side, with the tip finished off with a piece of bark.
Blue beads are macrame tied in the variegated blue thread.
This bookmark is eight inches long and one and five eighths inches wide.
